![]() ![]() With my same rig, using psplug premium on pc, playing horizon zero dawn, on a fiber internetnet conneciton of 200mbps download and 200 mbps upload with a 3ms ping time, i get 1080p at a full 60 fps MOST TIMES. with ping times of no higher than 10-15ms. And honestly prob about a 200mbps upload speed minimum for 4k cloud gaming at any playable fps. ![]() You need mininmum 80mbps upload sppeeds for a decent 1080 60fps gameplay experience via cloud streaming. Thats not near enough for 4k cloud gaming let alone 1080 60fps gaming. I def got 1 gig download, but i was lucky to hit 20mbps upload speeds. you upload is most likely abyssmal, something like 25mbps MAX!! even with 1 gig service (my last 1 gig provider, sparklight, offered this. those internet providers may offer you up to 1 gig speed.but thats oinly download speed. many providers are lying these days saying they have fiber based internet but its actually still coax. Most us based internet providsers that arent 100% fiber based (you can tell if you run true fiber if your upload speeds match your download speeds. You upload speeds need to be blazing fast for a decent experience. All actions you make (button presses, etc) then have to travel clear across the internet, to the sony server actually running the game, and then you see the result of the button press once the server then sends the corresponding images back. The PS app which only does streaming takes forever to load up because the game launches on a sony server, then is rebroadcasted, via the internet, t your web browser display. which is why it runs most junk most times with bad lag even with fiber connections with stupid low ping.Ĭompare the two and see the astounding difference. It only streams the games from sony servers. This is why the xbox pc gaming service works so stinking much better than the Playstaion PC option (formerly PSNow on PC, now titled PSPlus Premium on PC) The playstation PC app in simply a web browser app wrapped in a netflix like ui page. Games on pc are handled by the XBOX PC app, which when combined with the xbox gamepass subscription, allows you to natively download and play most all games. Games are only streamed via cloud to android based devices using their xcloud stream app. ![]()
